Greetings all,
It's been a while since I last used UNIX,
especially on a tilde, and realised that I
needed a primer to refresh myself on a load
of basic stuff that I'd forgotten how to do.
I know you could probably just use a standard
UNIX user manual, but there's a lot of minutiae
that you can't do on a pubnix that most people
do on reflex on a personal machine, and some
parts of the system is just generally poorly
documented online. (not on our part)
So, getting to my actual point: do we have a
centralised tilde/pubnix primer for newbies
and the like? Or can we point users to a
similar document elsewhere? Just a
thought!

I hope I got my GUIy MUA (Evo3) set up right now to deliver via
institute's sendmail over ssh. While not planing to use it frequently,
it somewhen may be ™nice to have™.
