Hello all,
Google auth wasn’t the highest on the poll that I ran. However I do feel 33% in favour of google auth or options like it is enough for me to implement the feature.
To use google auth you also need to enter your password for your account on login.
Information on getting google auth setup you can go on our wiki.
https://tilde.club/wiki/googleauth.html
If you’d like to see more options reply to this email with suggestions and I may look at implementing them.
Thank you to everyone that participated in our poll.

Hi Club
I am still of the opinion that it is best for it to be called something other than google authenticator, as it misrepresents 2fa as only being usable by google authenticator.
Maybe, call it wiki/2fa.html or something? And rename the command to setup-2fa?

The official name for the technology it OTP, and more specifically TOTP for time-based, and HOTP for HMAC-based One Time Password algorithms.
Simply calling it "OTP" or "One Time Password" with the optional "2fa"/"second factor auth" added is probably the 'most correct' way to refer to the technology.
RFC for TOTP: https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6238 RFC for HOTP: https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4226

In agreement fosslinux, but suggest calling it by its long name "Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)". That term is more commonly used elsewhere, and may be clearer for everyone.
The page title would then be "USING Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) ON TILDE.CLUB"

Hello ~clubbers,
I will look into making revisions to this over the weekend.
Thanks for your input on the matter.

Changes have been made. Let me know if it is a little more welcoming.

Been thinking of changing website colors more to improve readability. Any suggests on a complete color selection we could use. More detail the more likely it would be implemented. I have adjusted the shade of orange that the pages use. But is still hard on the eyes sometimes.
Thanks

You can pick a color and see the contrast ratio and accordingly pick the right color based on the background color and the ratio you want.

I changed the colour slightly. Let me know if it’s any better. My monitor has poor colour reproduction so outside of that website saying it’s better I’m not sure :)
