weechat not starting with byobu

Hi, I am having an issue where I connect to tilde.team but, when byobu starts it does so without the chat buffer. [1]

When I go to boot weechat it says an instance is already running and to choose a different directory to append or create logs.

I checked htop, and can't find any weechat instance running. [2]
