Howdy all from roasty Texas!
I'd just like to share some news. The UUCP network hasn't died, I'm
still doing tons, including writing scripts to make Tier 1 provisioning
more intuitive. I'm also writing scripts to get leaf nodes on the
network easily. But...
I am doing this as a one man project, and I need help. This is a de-
centralized effort and an open source project.
I'm looking for someone who is a wizard with make files.
Lately I've really been inspired by NIS (Network Information Service).
It works via makefiles and sqlite databases, I'd like to do something
similar with UUCP, so someone just needs to set their nodename and
endpoint url, and the make file does the rest. The sqlite database gets
replicated via UUCP to all the other tier1 nodes.
I’d like to introduce a new Tier 1 host to our community.
If you don’t know, frostbyte is a hacker group that studies protocols, unix, and nerdy things in general.

We welcome cosmic.voyage to the intergalactic subspace relay network as a primary Tier 1 host.
For those unaware, cosmic.voyage is a real intergalactic roleplaying game. Developments from this area of the UUCP network should be very interesting as the system has a vibrant community and tomasino is accomplished coder.

Here is the UUCP Kanban hosted on Cryptpad: https://ttm.sh/EV
It’s editable, so feel free to add feature ideas, and if there is something you’d like to work on, give it a go
Also, don’t forget about the UUCP tildegit at https://tildegit.org/tildeverse/uucp . While these services are hosted on tildeverse resources, please remember that UUCP is NOT limited to tilde servers. We welcome anybody 😃
