Thanks for adding me to the mailing list. I don't know if this is reaching anyone else, or if I was added by accident (I created ~tea on tildeclub).
Who are you?
Hello ~clubbers!
I'm Ben Harris, aka ~benharri, and I'm one of the new admins!
I'm a software developer by trade, tilde admin by night.
I created tilde.team (inspired by ~club) in 2017 when I stumbled upon ~ford's medium article about the origin of ~club and joined the waitlist.
Along with ~deepend (the other new admin), we've been standing up a new collaborative community between the tilde.club-like tildes called the tildeverse[1]. The main link between the tildes is our irc network[2].
Other than that, some tilde admins have chosen to host services for tilde users (see list on [1]), including most notably: - a listserv[3] - a git-based software forge[4] - a mastodon instance[5] - an internet radio station[6] - a link aggregator[7] among other things :)
most of these things are discussed on irc, which before yesterday, saw far more activity (proportionally) than any of the tildeverse mailing lists.
I'm currently seeing upwards of 600 pending emails in the outgoing queue on the list's mailserver, with many reports of send (and spam) frequency by the receiving MTAs. If you could, please add the list address to your address books and maybe reach out to their support to unblock us. (I do have one outstanding ticket with fastmail.)
Thanks for joining us on this journey! I love seeing all the excitement and fond memories and look forward to exploring the old-school tilde web with you all :)
Feel free to reach out any time via email root@ or benharri@ or on irc, where I use the nick ben.
