Anyone else have a mild panic attack when they opened their email client this morning and saw 100+ emails‽ :)
Oh good, it's not just me. :-)
I'm Jim. I work in government. In the world we now live in, that's enough for everyone to find out my address, phone number, place of employment, salary, etc. (Actually, it might not have been enough, until I told you it was enough.)
I discovered the Internet (yes, I still capitalize it) at my first real IT job at the University of Maryland in 1985. By today's standards, that makes me an old fogey, I suppose. I worked at the first ISP (UUNET). I've been a network engineer, a sysadmin, tech support, programmer, (bad) web designer, (mediocre) web programmer, security lead, and other stuff I can't remember right now.
And yeah, this is giving me some major nostalgia.
Hello, world!
