I have this idea but maybe too farfetched....
What do you guys think of a member/listener-contributed tracks for robo DJ (the 'entity' behind playing random tracks when there is no DJ livestreaming)? Maybe set up a an FTP folder that members can upload their favourite tracks into and then 'robo DJ' grabs these tracks to play at random... I don't know honestly how to implement this...but it's just an idea... also break ice on this mailing list ;-))

We can definitely add more tracks to autodj!
Azuracast even has an option to add sftp users that have access to upload music files to the autodj playlist.
If people have archives of old shows that can go into the rotation that is also an option.
Otherwise, we've been trying to stick to stuff that's public domain to avoid any copyright issues.

that is an awesome feature of Azuracast!
Oh yeah, copyright/licensing ... that would be an issue... but I'm pretty sure we can find tracks that are under creative commons licensing/free to distribute :-D

If you've got some tracks you want to upload to autodj, either send them over directly or give me an ssh pubkey for the sftp share!

I'm all about creative commons stuff! :-) That's actually what my show the Creative Commons Valence Electron Show is about, showcasing Creative Commons licensed music :-)
If the auto dj can pull at random could we be able to upload and delete like show promos and stuff? I'd love to be able to upload a "Next Week" promo but would hate if it was stuck there forever you know?
Just an extra idea out there.
If my calendar is correct I should be on in about 7 hours ish.

THIS IS A GREAT IDEA -- djs being able to upload their radiospots as well so they go on rotation! Very good one mnw!!! I am really looking forward to the resurrection of CCVE show!!!
