Welcome comrades, to tilde.red's mailing list :) I'm sure it will be a
very useful tool for us to discuss things that are much more long-winded
than suited for IRC.
Our first thing I want to crack open is the topic of our first revolution.
The current iteration of our community's rules were mostly created by me
alone, to kick off the community.
Some of those rules were supposed to be cheeky, and may not work well in
practice. Others were put into place to solve problems I've seen in the
past with communities such as ours.
Others, while catching the spirit, are bad in practice. Lots of people
have spoken out about rule #1, for example. It can actually be
counterproductive to it's intent, which is to promote inclusiveness.
However, I think it's time for our first revolution!
What should our community rules be?
