Hey voyagers,
This November in tandem with National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) I
wanted to do something special to help motivate our little Cosmic
community to get writing. My current plan is to share daily writing
prompts here on the mailing list during that month.
The prompts themselves will be--hopefully--generic enough to avoid
repetitive log entries across people's ships. Maybe they'll serve as a way
to jump-start your thinking and inspire some new content.
I was also thinking about making it a bit of a contest to see what sort of
word-count we can drive up. Anyone have any ideas on that front? Do we
just go for bragging rights or is there something I can offer to sweeten
the pot?
I'm not sure if everyone is aware, but we do have a command called
'scores' which shows every voyager's total word-count (also available in
the menu). Alexis is crushing us all, but it's fun to see how you're
stacking up.
Let me know your thoughts! Anyone have any other ideas for ways to inspire
each other?
