Oh hello, my name is also Ryan. Apparently my tilde is http://tilde.club/~rhino and I went all ANSI and wrote about an early BBS experience, left myself notes about what to write about next, and wandered off.

I used to write a blog where I told people in the news business what to do, but they kept hiring me to do the things I said they should do, and it got really awkward. I try not to tweet.

I develop business at Automattic and will sell you a WordPress -- the nicest possible WordPress -- if you need one.

hi, my name is ryan. i am studying english at boston university and i have never had a girlfriend. i like to explore yahoo, and sometimes i post about R.E.M. on alt.music.rem, so maybe i'll run into you there. i often drink mocha valencias from starbucks while I walk the streets of boston listening to radiohead.

i made my first web site at http://tilde.club/~sixfoot6/. most of my friends seem to think internet stuff is a waste of time, but i can just tell it's going to change the world in the near future, and entirely for the better.

Hi everyone,

Wow so many familiar names and faces, err, avatars I guess. I'm Tamas, known as KTamas everywhere on the internet except on instagram because someone registered before me and is now my nemesis.

Anyways so I'm ~ktamas here and don't quite know yet what kind of ~content~ I'll put here but I'm sure I'll figure something.

I just came home from XOXO 2019 (I see a few familiar names here) and promptly put together https://ghostbuste.rs/ as a small tribute. I'm also working on making a Little Printer out of my mobile thermal printer, making good progress with that: https://twitter.com/KTamas/status/1173208606004658178?s=20 (I also have code for it up on github, if you're interested in this kind of thing, hmu!)

I also write every day at https://writetogether.space/posts/ktamas though many of my posts are set to "community only" meaning you need to have an account there to read it. It gives just the right amount of privacy to talk about stuff like mental health etc.

Cheers,
KTamas

I saw a load of emails flowing in this weekend and groaned (sad that that's the default response), but then I started reading the messages and was happy to get a little wave of nostalgia for the internet before it got so stupid.

I'm /~laze and my tildeclub site is a dedication to my first page on the web back in December of 1994, which had a picture of Grover sitting on a toilet. Classy.

Like many of you, I've been feeling burned out and negative about the 'net over the last few years and feel like it's veered so far off course that we won't be able to get it back. But little projects like this and the gradual rise in the return to smaller online social groups gives me a little hope that all the good things about being online still have a shot.

I’m Thomas and very happy to be here again.

Wow, it has been done since I cared about or didn’t mark a large email list as SPAM. A lot of names from lives, projects, conferences, and digital proxies for such that bring back great memories. Now to get to WiFi and reorient a device new to ~tilde.

All the best,
Thomas
